Credit commentary:
The director Warren Brynley Francis is providing a personal guarantee, which means should the business fail, and there are insufficient assets within the business to repay the loan, we can look to the guarantor(s) to repay any shortfall on repayment. There have been no CCJs for the business or director. This is a credit policy exception as the director’s equity is slightly below the credit policy requirements to cover a loan. The mitigants are that this company is well-established, with a substantial TNW and EBIDTA. The Equifax score and grade, on which we base our assessment of risk, are based on the June 2022 filed accounts. We have performed our credit assessment on recent financial information, including June 2023 management accounts, which were not available to Equifax. The management accounts show that the pre-tax profit was £292,059 and net equity was £175,484. The bank statements demonstrate reasonable affordability, and the accounts remain well in credit.

Inflation Risk:
As the majority of lending to the business is at a fixed rate, they will not be immediately affected by interest rate increases. The directors do not expect to draw money from the business as all capital is vital for the growth of the business.
