A landmark hotel and bar in a prime location within the Lake District, seeking funding for improvement and expansion of accommodation and the restaurant. 10% APR for this revenue loan.

A landmark hotel and bar in a prime location within the Lake District, seeking funding for improvement and development of the restaurant.

The Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar is a landmark property in a prime position in the Lake District to attract hikers and outdoors people. It is both a traditional Inn, dating back to 1624, and a small country hotel, with the grounds also incorporating a holiday cottage. It is a fabulous character property that will really benefit from some TLC.

The business does well from passing trade and B&B income, but aims to become a destination small county house hotel and Inn. Although the business showed healthy net profits of £36k and £35k in the last 2 full year's filed accounts (2012 and 2011 respectively), what's really exciting is the perceived potential for improvement in the business, particularly in the restaurant and accommodation offerings. With the help of Crowd2Fund investors, the directors plan to upgrade the restaurant area and develop letting rooms.

In return for their support, investors will be offered 10% annual interest gross of taxes and fees and paid monthly, using Crowd2Fund's revenue lending product. This means the business will remit 8% of monthly turnover (at least 1.1x the monthly interest accrued) until the debt and interest are fully paid, with the expectation of being repaid within 2 years of drawing.
