Founded in 2019, our business started from a friendship between two aspiring entrepreneurs Shakir Hussain and Ardis Merkai. We noticed the ever-evolving handyman and construction industry, we were excited to set up HandyHumans an independent company with a workforce of highly experienced engineers and tradespeople to support an extensive range of services and maintenance needs. Our team has experience in an array of sectors such as residential, commercial, hotels, social housing, and education. No matter how big or small the project is, we are here for the job.
We have delivered around 3,000 work orders and 2,500 maintenance jobs across 15 recognised trades. Our business has grown to £303k in revenue per year and now generates around £50k in profit. In order to meet customer demand, we are hiring more builders. Plumbing - With our team of professionals to repair common issues such as leakages, blockages, shower repairs and replacements of any kind such as new bathroom installations.
Painting and Decoration - From painting, updating woodwork paint and varnish and changing fixtures and fitting we are passionate about getting the job done to the highest standard.
Roofing and Guttering - We have over 20 years of roofing experience, we have expertise in creating sturdy and watertight roofs, flat or slated for waste and rainwater. We also offer a 5-year guarantee.
Tiling and Flooring - We offer new installations for different types of flooring from tiles, wooden floor, laminated, vinyl and carpets. Our services also include helping our clients redecorate their kitchen, bathroom or living space, and can assist them with the process with an interior designer.
Installations - We are partnered with Howdens (The UK’s Number 1 Kitchen Supplier) for high-quality kitchens at a very competitive price guaranteed. We are also partnered with MP Moran & Sons who provide first-rate bathroom supplies for competitive rates.
Leak and Damp Checks - We take preventative measures for leaks with our Leak Detection specialist. Not only are they able to locate the source of a water leak or ingress but they provide a full refurbishment of any water damaged areas all at a fixed price quote.
Fencing and Decking - With our large team of carpenters, handymen and gardeners, we are able to repair, install and build wooden fence panels, decking and cladding. Whether our clients need new fence posts or custom-built decking, we are here to help.
Electricity - We have a large team of electricians available for domestic and commercial work. We can fix electrical faults and nuisance tripping, new socket, or circuit installations, provide EICR’s and rewire a property.
Drains and Blockages - We have vast experience in resolving blocked drains and ensuring drain networks are clear, free-flowing and problem-free.
Rubbish Removal - We are happy to remove rubbish from inside any property or back garden. We are equipped to remove even the largest items, saving our clients from the hard work of dismantling, lifting, moving and stacking.

Credit Comment:
The directors are providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails, the directors become personally liable for the loan. One of the directors is a homeowner, however, this does not ensure there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. There have been no CCJs for the business or directors.
