As a managed service provider, RDS has streamlined its offering to focus on what we do best: managed IT support, cyber security, and communications for multi-site, multi-user businesses. RDS Global Ltd was founded in 1997. Born out of the IT department of a Derby-based automotive dealer, the original mission was to be the leading supplier of managed network services to the UK automotive sector. IT support, hardware, and consultancy services were soon added to satisfy customer demand.

We are committed to supporting a wider society, our focus in recent years has been increasing access to STEM education, championing gender equality, and supporting local charities in raising vital funds and awareness.The RDS Global Technical Employer Academy has trained a number of young people since its inception, with four graduates earning full-time employment at RDS. In 2019, RDS was proudly awarded the Community Impact Award at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce’s Derbyshire Business Awards. The 2020s have begun on a wave of innovation. RDS adapted the BlackBox to ensure that businesses could operate safely during the pandemic and we have been appointed as the leading technology provider to two major sustainability-driven technology projects.
In the first decade of the 21st Century, RDS established itself as the leading managed IT services provider to the UK automotive sector. RDS is now also a leading provider of digital access control, CCTV, and telecom services. We proudly serve 4,000+ users in 200+ locations with many long term customers. We are now accredited by best-in-class Microsoft Support, UK Cyber Security Standard, Global Information Security Standard, Government-Backed Standard, East-Midlands Cyber Security Leader, CCTV and Physical Security Specialist.
Credit commentary:
The directors are providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails, the directors become personally liable for the loan. The directors are homeowners, however, this does not ensure there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. There have been no CCJs against the business or directors. In the December 2021 draft accounts, admin expenses was £2,158,598 and other operating income was £142,693. The other operating income comprised of commissions from telecommunications sales via a main supplier. The admin expenses in the 2021 financial table below is inclusive of other operating income. The bank statements demonstrate reasonable affordability and the accounts remain well in credit. The Equifax score and grade, on which we base our assessment of risk, are based on the 2020 accounts. We have performed our assessment on recent financial information, including 2021 draft accounts, which were not available to Equifax.
Covid Resilience:
Like many businesses, the pandemic created obstacles for RDS Global. However, these challenges were overcome and the company proved good resilience.
