Precision Carpentry, Lasting Impressions

I started my journey in the world of carpentry right after completing my business studies at college. It all began in a humble joinery shop in Dunstable, where I honed my skills for a year. From there, I ventured into the realm of construction, working for a building company for two years. At the age of 21, I took a leap of faith and joined a friend working on new build housing for half a year. That experience, combined with stints as a subcontractor, laid the foundation for my own carpentry business, which I proudly established in 2015.

The early days were filled with hard work and determination as I tried to secure projects while still working for O'rourke & Sons Carpentry. But in late 2017, our breakthrough came when we successfully completed a couple of small developments for Rectory Homes. This opened doors, leading to a million-pound contract with Persimmon Homes, marking a significant turning point for SJH Carpentry. Our commitment has always been clear: complete projects on time, to the highest standard, and with unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction.

Today, SJH Carpentry stands as a trusted name in the carpentry industry, specializing in new build residential projects with occasional forays into the commercial and bespoke sectors. We take immense pride in our quality workmanship, ensuring that every project meets our customers' exacting standards. Our dedication to customer service remains unwavering, and our reputation has grown steadily over the past eight years, driven by the positive word of mouth from satisfied clients. Additionally, we are passionate about nurturing young talent in the industry by offering apprenticeships to three enthusiastic employees. At SJH Carpentry, our mission is clear: to deliver excellence, build strong relationships, and continue our legacy of quality craftsmanship.

Credit Commentary:
The directors are providing a personal guarantee, which means that if the business fails the directors become personally liable for the loan. The directors are stable with the default on utilities. Both of the directors are homeowners their property (owned by both directors ) has been calculated at £260k taking account of unsecured lending in the directors' names, however, this does not ensure that there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. The LR search is still in the name of the previous occupants. The funds will be used for Debt consolidation. The business operates in the residential sector doing all aspects of Carpentry.

Inflation Risk:
As the majority of lending to the business is at a fixed rate, they will not be immediately affected by interest rate increases.
