Nominated for the People’s Choice Awards 2021 and shortlisted for the National Finals at the Barclaycard Next Level Awards 2021, Upside Down House UK has brought joy to all of their customers with their uniquely built houses. These houses are built upside down and filled with optical illusions- the main being that their visitors appear to look as though they are walking on the ceiling. Each house is built differently and allows others to capture crazy and fun images. They are now fundraising to set up new locations and for business growth.

Creating the most fun and unique optical illusions.

We are a fun and unique museum of optical illusion, creating attractions not only for children but adults. We give people the ability to walk on ceilings, capture surreal images from an inverted perspective and create great memories. Upside Down House is a great place for people to share the images they have taken on their Instagram and Facebook feeds. We even help take pictures for them.

Our attractions are not only available for day visits, but we have opened them for events such as birthday parties, as Upside Down House is a child-friendly environment. Our lovely team will happily assist in helping organise this.
We have several locations around the UK, these include Brighton, Lakeside, Manchester, Westfield White City, and Bristol. Each house is designed differently so our customers can have a unique experience for each location.

Our Brighton house has a variety of designed luxury rooms to a beach house based on the Brighton Sea Front in between the i360 and Brighton Beach Club. Our Lakeside room has a stylish red wine colour located in External Amphitheatre, within the main car park to the Lakeside Shopping Centre. The high-end interior design allows for some very classy photo opportunities for families of all ages. In White City, our house is a modern stylish design to complement the unique photo opportunities.

There are so many variations and it has been an amazing experience for us at Upside Down House. We have even been able to partner up with big brands such as John Lewis for our White City location who have helped us with the interior design.

We are proud of our progression as a business and have recently been nominated for the People’s Choice Awards 2021 and shortlisted for the National Finals at the Barclaycard Next Level Awards 2021.

Our business is continuously growing and so is our demand, so we will be fundraising to set up a new location and for business growth.

COVID-Resilience:
The business did close during lockdown but have now opened up and are strictly following government guidelines as lockdown has eased. The Brighton, Lakeside and Manchester locations opened on May 17th and the Bristol house opening on June 11th.

The strict guidelines that have been implemented at Upside Down House include face coverings, reduced visiting time which mitigates both staff and customer exposure to the possibility of the virus. Further information can be found in the link below.

Credit Comment:
The director is providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails the director becomes personally liable for the loan.
