PITCH ME IN 60 SECONDS

Established private clinic to address current healthcare challenges: An interview with Elle Jay Aesthetics

In this episode of PITCH ME IN 60 SECONDS, we sat down with Lindsey Watson, the founder of a rapidly growing healthcare business, to discuss the challenges she's addressing, her innovative solutions, and her vision for the future. Lindsey shared insights into her journey from a long-standing NHS career to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, offering a range of private medical services.

Let’s dive in.

CROWD2FUND: So, what problem are you solving as a business?

Lindsey Watson: My business has expanded much quicker than I anticipated. I've been a nurse for 38 years and left the NHS last year to join the business full-time, about 14 months ago. Now, I have six nurses working part-time, and I have plans for further development. I need funding to expand our health and well-being services. We offer many services that the NHS no longer provides, such as vitamin injections, blood tests, minor surgery, and skin treatments.

CROWD2FUND: Thank you. And what is your specific solution?

Lindsey Watson:  Well, alongside the aesthetic business, I run a CQC-registered medical centre. We also offer body sculpting, weight loss assistance, and work with nutritionists. We provide services that people can't get elsewhere, and they feel secure coming to a medical centre staffed with nurses and, soon, doctors. Our solutions range from blood tests and injections to minor surgeries, body sculpting, laser hair removal, and more. For example, this morning, I performed laser scar revision for a woman getting married who had a chickenpox scar on her face.

CROWD2FUND: Understood. That makes sense. How do you make money as a business?

Lindsey Watson: We make money by charging for our services. As an advanced nurse practitioner, I prescribe and charge for consultations and treatments, aiming to offer fair prices to attract clients to our smaller clinic instead of a large private hospital. People appreciate the personal service we provide. Additionally, I perform aesthetic injections and plan to offer training once we expand, teaching others how to perform these services.

CROWD2FUND: That’s great. Lastly, why should investors trust you with their money?

Lindsey Watson: Hopefully, because I'm a trustworthy person. I've worked in the NHS since I was 18, totalling 38 years, and left last year. I've never had any legal issues, and I'm well-trusted in the local community. People come to me because they know I'm confidential and reliable. I've never had money issues before, and though I dislike asking for money, I need some help to advance further.

CROWD2FUND: Thank you, Lindsey. Appreciate your time.

Lindsey Watson's commitment to expanding her healthcare business highlights her dedication to bridging gaps in the healthcare system by providing essential services to her community.
